Periods of light snow will occur this evening and through the overnight. While accumulating snow is expected to end before Thursday morning, falling temperatures and light snow accumulations of one to two inches will result in slick travel tonight and early Thursday.
Slick spots can be expected on roadways, especially bridges and overpasses. If traveling, allow for some extra time to reach your destination and be prepared for wintery driving conditions.
In addition to the snowfall, falling temperatures combined with increased winds will result in feels-like temperatures near zero Thursday morning. If heading outdoors, dress in multiple layers.

William Hurless Jr.
Former Fort Recovery resident William E. "Bill" Hurless Jr., 65, Chippewa Falls, Wis., died Sept. 22, 2011.
He was born June 6, 1946, in Portland, Ind., to Marilyn Spade Knoth and William Hurless Sr. He was adopted and raised by his grandparents, Paul and Grace Spade, Bryant, Ind.
Surviving are children, Dee Dee Effertz, Denise Allsage and Dexter Hurless, all of Eau Claire, Wis.; siblings, Connie Crowe, Celina, Melanie Westgerdes, Coldwater, Steve Knoth and Rick Knoth, both of Fort Recovery; and 10 grandchildren.
Deceased are his mother, grandparents and a brother.
A graduate of Bruce High School, Wis., he served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a welder for Soo Line Railroad and other companies.
A memorial service was held Sept. 27, 2011, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Bruce, Wis. Burial was in Bruce Cemetery.
