LeRoy Schwieterman
LeRoy Schwieterman, 85, Burkettsville, died Dec. 1, 2011, in his home.
He was born June 1, 1926, in Fort Recovery to Joseph and Mary Langenkamp Schwieterman. On July 24, 1948, he married Rose Peltier, who survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Ron (LuAnn) Schwieterman, Fairfield, Jerry Schwieterman, Loveland, Mark (Sherry) Schwie-terman, Morrow, David (Jan) Schwieterman, North Royalton; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Deceased are a son, Bruce "BJ" Schwieterman; two brothers; two sisters; six half-brothers; and two half-sisters.
He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and served on the parish council. He was a member of Fort Recovery American Legion, served 20 years with the Burkettsville Fire Department and had served on the town council.
He worked as an auto technician. He served with the U. S. Army during World War II.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial with military rites will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-7 p.m. Sunday and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
