* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 105 possible.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Consecutive days of excessive heat and humidity can be especially hazardous as warm overnight temperatures will provide little relief. The heat may continue into Wednesday.

Virgil Stienecker
Virgil H. Stienecker, 89, of St. Marys, died at 6:55 a.m. Dec. 11, 2011, at Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices, St. Marys.
He was born Sept. 21, 1922, near St. Marys, to Leander and Lanora Dohse Stienecker.On Aug. 29, 1948, he married Marjorie Schmehl, who survives.
Surviving are two daughters, Kate (Ned) Lawler and Noreen Stienecker, all of St. Marys; a grandson ;and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Ron Stienecker, and two sisters, Wilda Stienecker and Betty Murr.
He retired from the former Mersman Furniture Company of Celina after 35 years of service. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 323 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289, all of St. Marys. A 1940 graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys, he was a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II and saw action at the Battle of the Bulge. He also was a Boy Scout leader.
Services are noon Thursday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Bill Maki officiating.
Calling is after 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
