Christmas wish ... to be done
Photo by Mark Pummell/The Daily Standard

A farmer takes advantage of hardened ground to harvest corn in a field next to Wright State University-Lake Campus on Monday. Farmers typically are finished taking off corn and soybeans by mid-November but were delayed this year due to wet weather. Rain caused late planting in the spring, and more rain prevented farmers from getting into the fields this fall. Rain is expected to return to the local forecast Wednesday.
