Leonard Pax
Leonard Fred Pax, 90, Mesa, Ariz., died at 9:30 p.m. Nov. 28, 2011.
He was born Dec. 25, 1921, in Celina, to Edmund John and Frances Katherine Meyer Pax. On Feb. 7, 1953, he married Lilian Courant, who survives in Mesa.
Also surviving are 11 siblings, Mary Catherine Brunswick, Minster, Ruth Leugers, St. Marys, Norma Lee Irvin, Cincinnati, Madonna Issen, Alabama, Bernadetta Disque, Cincinnati, Florintine Cafferky, Fairfax, Rita Marie Klosterman, Celina, Barbara Ann Geiser, Fostoria, Edwina Frances Meyer, Huber Heights, Dayton, Charles Pax, South Carolina and LaVern Pax, Pickerington.
He graduate from Immaculate Conception High School, Celina. He completed college in San Diego, Calif., and was employed by Howard Hughes Aircraft in El Segunda, Calif. He was associated with the Surveyor spacecraft program, which was part of the Apollo lunar project.
A memorial Mass was held in Mesa.
