Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Ermon Huston Sr.
Ermon Eldon Huston Sr., 82, Mendon, died at 4:18 a.m. Dec. 28, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born April 12, 1929, in Mercer County to George Elmer and Della Beatrice Gause Huston. On Feb. 14, 1997, he married Cindy Jones, who survives.
Also surviving are five children, Ermon "Sam" Huston, Celina, Ronald "Dean" (Darlene) Huston, Coldwater, Kathy Louise Hollon, St. Marys, Viola "Jean" Huston, Celina, and Beverly A. Huston, Celina; stepchildren, Christopher Jon Schoenleben, Germantown, and Jennifer Gail Schoenleben, West Carrollton; four brothers, James Huston, St. Marys, Eugene (Sue) Huston, Celina, Chalmer (June) Huston, Rockford, and Larry Huston, Las Vegas, Nev.; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are his first wife, Irene Ryle, his second wife, Betty Vorhees; a brother, Paul Huston; and a sister, Louise Huston.
He retired from Huffy Bicycle Corp., Celina, in 1992 after 32 years. He was a member of St. Marys Eagles and Celina Moose.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Randy Christian officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
