Scattered snow showers occurring across the area will slowly diminish through the overnight hours. These snow showers will continue to cause brief reductions in visibility. In addition, the snow showers could produce a light coating of snow on roadways. This will result in the potential for some slick spots to develop. Motorists should be prepared for changing conditions overnight and exercise extra caution.

Everett Cull
Everett Cull, 87, rural Portland, Ind., died Feb. 1, 2012, at Albany Healthcare.
He was born April 7, 1924, in Jay County to Herman and Inez Theurer Cull.
Surviving are a nephew, James Cull, Cleveland Heights, and a niece, Mary (Bill) Davis, Portland.
He was a farmer and a graduate of Madison Township High School. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Portland, and a member of Jay County Historical Society.
Service is 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Mark Strietelmeier officiating. Burial will follow in Green Park Cemetery. Calling is 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorials may be made to the church or to the historical society.
