Lester Johnson
Lester L. Johnson, 76, Celina, died at 9:44 p.m. Feb. 8, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born March 29, 1935, in Mercer County, to Albert W. and Mary Lavaun Kendall Johnson. On July 8, 1963, he married Jeanie Ousley, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Candy (Tom) Wale, Celina, and a granddaughter.
A 1954 graduate of Celina High School, he served with the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict.
He retired from Navistar, Springfield, in 2000. He was a member of the Mercer County Sportsman Association.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral home, Celina, the Rev. Randy Christian officiating. Burial will follow in Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 3-6 p.m. Sunday and one hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
