Scattered snow showers will continue through mid morning. With temperatures well below freezing, light snow accumulations will combine with lingering black ice from overnight, to create some slick spots on area roadways. In addition, brisk westerly winds will gust in the 25 to 35 mph range this morning.
If traveling this morning, allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses as well as untreated surfaces.

Ralph and Janet Gels of Coldwater have helped keep roadways clean through Mercer County's Adopt-A-Highway program for 23 years. The couple's business, The Gels Home, recently was designated a Gold Star Group by the Ohio Department of Transportation for providing 15 years of volunteer service.
