Snowfall of at least an inch is expected across the region, with up to 2 inches possible. There is also the potential for brief intense bursts of snow, especially between 10 PM and 3 AM. Where these brief bursts of snow occur, visibility may drop suddenly, creating additional travel hazards tonight.
West winds will become northwest overnight, gusting as high as 30 to even 35 mph. This may cause blowing snow over roadways, even as the snow ends after 3 AM.

Lifting up prayers

Religious education students Emily McClurg and Isaac Griesdorn hold a cross attached to a balloon rosary Wednesday evening at St. Sebastian Church in Marion Township. The students in grades preschool through 12 made the rosary out of balloons and then launched it on behalf of those in their prayers.
