During the predawn hours, winds will increase ahead of a low pressure system moving east through the lower Great Lakes. Gusts of 30 to 40 mph are expected through this afternoon, possibly gusting to 45 mph in a few spots. Wind is expected to decrease overnight but remain relatively strong at 20-25 mph this evening.
Please be aware of these strong winds especially if driving a higher profile vehicle. Secure loose outdoor objects and shore up seasonal decorations if possible.

Eugene Reinhard
St. Joe native Eugene Ernest "Gene" Reinhard, 85, Plainfield, Ind., died May 8, 2012.
He was born Feb. 20, 1927, in St. Joe, to Joseph and Odelia Brockman Reinhard. His wife of 58 years, Edna, survives.
Other survivors are a daughter, Ann Marie (Tony) Gehl, Knoxville, Tenn.; seven sons, Joe (Jodi) Reinhard, Marion, Ill., Mark (Nita) Reinhard, Henderson, Neb., John (Susan) Reinhard, Woodstock, Ga., Philip (Lana) Reinhard, Columbus, Ind., Luke (Joyce) Reinhard, Portland, Maine, Gene (Darlene) Reinhard, San Antonio, Texas, and Matt (Cindy) Reinhard, Indianapolis, Ind.; two brothers, Jerry (Irene) Reinhard, Fort Recovery, and Dominic Reinhard, Celina; two sisters, Irene Gardner, Vienna, Va., and Ethel Bruns, St. Henry; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Bobby, Joseph and Norbert Reinhard, and a sister, Sister Sylvia Reinhard.
He retired from Public Service Indiana (Duke Energy) after 22 years of service and previously worked at Reliance Electric, Columbus, Ind., and Standard Register, Dayton. He was a graduate of Indiana Technical College with a degree in electrical engineering. Later he earned his professional engineering license in Ohio and Indiana.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church, Plainfield, where he served as a cantor and Eucharistic minister. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Catholic Knights of America, and the Columbians Choral Group of Indianapolis and volunteered for the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial is at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church. A rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Contributions may be made to the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor Foundation, New York, N.Y.
