At 1212 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near New Bremen, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
Locations impacted include... Newport, Fryburg, Montra, Egypt, Uniopolis, New Bremen, Buckland, Botkins, New Knoxville, Fort Loramie, Kettlersville, Moulton, Jackson Center, St. Marys, Anna, Kossuth, Lakeview, Lake Loramie State Park, Waynesfield, and Wapakoneta.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 96 and 118.

Vernon Meyer
Vernon J. Meyer, 92, Fort Loramie, died at 2:30 p.m. June 6, 2012, at Versailles Health Care Center.
He was born Nov. 20, 1919, in St. Patrick, to Joseph and Henrietta Alternatt Meyer. On June 28, 1947, he married Dolores B. Poeppelman, who died Oct. 29, 2006.
Surviving are six children, Tom (Diane) Meyer, Fort Loramie, John Meyer of Denver, Colo., Pat (Don) Boerger, Sidney, Jim (Deb) Meyer, Fort Loramie, Dan (Sue) Meyer, Anna, and Karen (Doug) Schmitmeyer, Minster; a brother, Lawrence (Helen) Meyer, McCartyville; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Poeppelman, Egypt; a brother-in-law, Maurice Bornhorst, Minster; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased are siblings, Cleona Wyen, Kenneth Meyer, Wilma Ernst, Irene Schmiesing, Viola Bornhorst and John, Joseph, Margaret, Alberta, Carl and Mary Louise Meyer.
He retired from farming and from Monarch Machine, Sidney, after 19 years. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and American Legion Post 355, both of Fort Loramie, the Knights of Columbus and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391, both of Minster. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Funeral Mass is 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial with military honors by the Legion follows at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. today at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
