The National Weather Service in Wilmington has extended the
* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Mercer County in west central Ohio...
* Until 1100 AM EDT.
* At 826 AM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, State Route 116 at State Route 197, Chattanooga and Kossuth.

* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Ohio, including the following counties, in central Ohio, Delaware, Franklin, Licking, Madison and Union. In west central Ohio, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami and Shelby.
* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move across parts of the area this morning, possibly extending into early afternoon. This may result in bands of heavier rainfall that could lead to flash flooding.

Paul Mescher
Paul C. Mescher, 85, of Celina, died June 26, 2012, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
He was born March 27, 1927, in Maria Stein, to William and Anna Overman Mescher. On June 9, 1979, he married Joan McNeil Wood, who died July 30, 2000.
Surviving are siblings and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leander (Carol) Mescher, Dayton, Marie Schmidt, Vandalia, Rita Sullivan, Gresham, Ore., Thomas Mescher, Maria Stein, Leona Mescher and Norma Mescher, both of Dayton, and Mary Catherine Mescher, Coldwater, and a stepson, William (Kathryn) Wood, Burks, Va.
Deceased are siblings and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Albert Mescher, Alvin Mescher, John Mescher, Alvina and Henry Kuether, Agnes and Lawrence Hoying, George and Martha Mescher, Grace and Richard Selhorst, Leo Schmidt, George Sullivan and Jeanette Mescher, and a stepdaughter, Laura Wood.
He worked at the former AVCO New Idea plant in Coldwater for 43 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Montezuma, St. Marys Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Maria Stein American Legion. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Rick Friebel officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
