Charles Bernholt Jr.
Charles C. Bernholt Jr., 77, Celina, died June 29, 2012, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
He was born Aug. 3, 1934, in Sidney, to Charles Sr. and Mildred Gariety Bernholt. On Feb. 23, 1963, he married Wanda Stoner, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Christopher Bernholt, Dublin, and Terry (Lori) Bernholt, St. Marys; a daughter, Tiffany (Ray) Loewe, North Port, Fla.; three sisters, Margie (Dennis) Keeling, Celina, Joyce (Lee) Tester, Wabash, Ind., and Marylou (Aldo) Legido, Miami Springs, Fla.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He graduated from Celina High School in 1946. He served as a patrolman for the Celina Police Department and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, the American Legion and Eagles Lodge, all of Celina.
He was a Navy Corpsman and served in the Korean War.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiating. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 9:30 a.m.-10:15 a.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
Memorials may be given to Immaculate Conception endowment fund.
