Walter F. Schulze, 79, Yorkshire, died July 30, 2012, at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland.

He was born Dec. 1, 1932, in Yorkshire, to John and Agatha Streacker Schulze. On Jan. 26, 1957, he married Dolores Hartings, who survives.

Also surviving are five children, John (Patricia) Schulze, Fort Loramie, Rosann (Don) Droesch, Maria Stein, Angela (Guy) DeMange, Yorkshire, Anita (Tony) Knapke, Greenville, and Michael (Sandra) Schulze, Yorkshire; three brothers, Alvin Schulze, St. Marys, Erwin (Eileen) Schulze, Casella, and Victor (Judy) Schulze, McCartyville; three sisters-in-law, Bernadetta Schulze, New Bremen, Mary Lou Schulze, St. Henry, and Rita Schulze, Wapakoneta; 21 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Deceased are five siblings, Margaret Dircksen, Elmer Schulze, Linus Schulze, Leander Schulze and Wilbert Schulze; a brother-in-law, Albert Dirksen; and a sister-in-law, Dolores Schulze.

He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, and its Men's Sodality, and the Darke County Farm Bureau. He was a farmer.

Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. David L. Zink officiating. Burial will follow in St. Martin's Cemetery in Osgood.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.

Memorials may be given to the Osgood Rescue Squad.
