MENDON - A 20-month-old Mendon boy drowned Friday night in a backyard swimming pool at his home.
Evan Quinn, the son of James and Karen (Depweg) Quinn, 312 S. Washington St., was rushed to Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys, where he was pronounced dead about 10:45 p.m. [More]
Deputy will not receive pay for 45 days

Mercer County Sheriff's Deputy Chad Fortkamp has been suspended without pay for 45 days after the department's K-9 unit Zak died Wednesday from excessive heat after being unattended in a patrol car.
Fortkamp struggled to maintain composure during this morning's press conference at the sheriff's office. [More]
