Two aged, vacant mobile homes were destroyed by fire at Park Grand Mobile Home Park near Montezuma on Friday afternoon. Four nearby weekend homes also received smoke and heat damage. The fire was called in at noon, with nearly a half dozen Montezuma firemen still on the scene at 7 p.m. Three Montezuma Fire Department trucks and two Coldwater Fire Department units responded to the scene. Montezuma Assistant Fire Chief Doug Forsthoefel said there were no injuries; a damage estimate was not yet available Friday. The cause of the fire remained unknown Friday evening as a state fire marshal arrived on the scene to investigate.
