Fog has developed early this morning in the wake of recent rainfall. Visibility reductions around 1 mile or less are being observed, and some patchy dense fog cannot be ruled out.
When encountering fog, be sure to turn on low beam headlights, slow down, and increase following distance.

John Stipp
John Stipp, 39, rural Portland, Ind., died Aug. 23, 2012, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born Sept. 16, 1972, in Portland, to Jim and Betty (Thomas) Stipp, who survive in Portland.
Also surviving are a son, Jacob Stipp, Mesquite, Texas; two daughters, Alyssa and Chelsea Hummel, Muncie, Ind.; two brothers, James (JoDee) Stipp, Port Huron, Mich., and Michael (Kim) Thomas, Portland; and two sisters, Bonnie (Randy) Vorhees and Lori Skinner, all of Celina.
  He attended Jay County High School, Portland, and worked for the Indiana Department of Transportation for four years. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge of Portland.
Services were Monday at Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Burial was in Center Cemetery, west of Portland.
