Law enforcement believe murdered father, daughter not randomly selected

A $10,000 reward has been established in the unsolved murder case of a Fort Recovery-area man and his daughter.

CELINA - The health department is under investigation by the state for the disbursement of four grants in 2009-2010.
Dale Palmer, administrator for the Mercer County-Celina City Health Department, told board members Wednesday an audit by the Ohio Inspector General is ongoing into the agency's handling of the Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response grants totaling $346,000. [More]
$54,320 in technology going to students at middle and high schools

ST. MARYS - School board members on Wednesday narrowly approved purchasing 80 new computers for St. Marys middle and high schools at a cost of $54,320.
District technology coordinator Kyle Menchhofer told board members during a meeting Wednesday that 117 computers in the district either don't work at all or are very slow and not working properly. Eighty of those - many eight and nine years old - need to be replaced as soon as possible, he said. [More]
