Susan Hardin
Mercer County native Susan K. "Susie" Hardin, 63, Wapakoneta, died at 5:35 p.m. Oct. 11, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, due to cancer.
She was born April 14, 1949, in Mercer County to George and Carol Lehman Whitehead. Her mother survives in St. Marys; her father is deceased. On April 20, 1968, she married Mickael Hardin, who survives.
Other survivors are four children, Jodi (Jeremy) Leonard, Celina, Kimberly (Dan) Boltz, Coldwater, Toby (Tracey) Hardin, Greenfield, Ind., and Shane Hardin, Wapakoneta; a brother, Jeffrey Whitehead, Phoenix, Ariz.; a stepmother, Pearl Whitehead, St. Marys; and seven grandchildren.
Also deceased is her mother-in-law, Thelma Rupert Hardin; and a granddaughter.
She was a 1967 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Marys Lakettes and attended New Start Church of God, Celina.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. John Mobley officiating.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the church.
