Norbert Homan
Norbert T. "Norb" Homan, 90, Sidney, died Nov. 8, 2012, at Dorothy Love Retirement Community in Sidney.
He was born June 11, 1922, in St. Rose to Henry and Elizabeth Thieman Homan. On Oct. 17, 1953, he married Anna Catherine Gutman, who died Oct. 15, 1997.
Surviving is a son, Thomas (Christine) Homan, Sidney;a sister, Betty Jutte, Yorkshire; and three step grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Willie, Paul and Ernie Homan; and a sister, Melrita Homan.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II, serving as Corporal Technician 5th Grade, 1st Army with the 167th Signal Photography Company, European Theatre. He was a life member of the Maria Stein American Legion and retired as a truck driver in 1984 from Sidney Truck & Storage. He has been a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church since 1953.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Angels Catholic Church, the Rev. Daniel Schmitmeyer officiating. Burial is at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Monday at Cromes Funeral Home, Sidney.
