Virgil Unrast
Virgil A. Unrast, 73, formerly of North Star, died Dec. 6, 2012, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born March 25, 1939, in North Star to Aloys and Marie Otte Unrast.
Surviving are six siblings, Leroy (Susie) Unrast, Wilcox, Ariz., Velma (Jerry) Holdheide, Fort Loramie, Marvin Unrast, North Star, Marge Wagner, Celina, Bertha (Joe) Rosenbeck, New Bremen, and Henry (Anita) Unrast, North Star.
Deceased is a brother, Dennis Unrast; and a brother-in-law, Robert Wagner.
He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, the Versailles Knights of Columbus and Darke County Right to Life. He was a retired school teacher from Coldwater schools and Holy Angels, Sidney, a former CCD teacher at St. Louis church and a farmer.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry, and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Contributions may be made to the Darke County Right to Life.
