The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for... Mercer County in west central Ohio...
* Until 700 AM EDT.
* At 309 AM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Celina, Coldwater, St. Henry, Fort Recovery, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Carthagena, Neptune, Chattanooga and Maria Stein.

Carolyn Hudson
Carolyn Schultz Hudson, 85, a lifelong resident of Saint Marys, passed away peacefully Jan. 20, 2013.
She was born July 20, 1927, the youngest of four children (Evelyn, Howard, Anna Louise and Carolyn), to Vernon and Carrie Stroh Schultz. A 1945 graduate of Memorial High School, she was known for her sweet personality and statuesque beauty. While standing on a street corner with friends, she caught the eye of young Thomas Hudson in 1947. They fell in love and were married June 20, 1948, at Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys and enjoyed 64.5 years of wedded bliss.
Carolyn is survived by her husband; a son, Eric Hudson; a daughter-in-law, Anne Harrigan Hudson; a granddaughter, Erin Hudson; many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins; and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Colonel Howard Schultz, and sisters Evelyn Schultz and Anna Louise Gossard.
Carolyn was a devoted wife and mother. She was an active member of the Progress Club, the Shakespeare Club, the Mother's Club and several bridge clubs. She and Tom were "dub" golfers. Recently, Carolyn and Tom relocated to Sparta, Michigan, where they enjoyed retirement life and spending time with their granddaughter, Erin Hudson.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys, the Rev. Bill Maki officiating.
Calling is noon until 2 p.m. Monday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or St. Marys Community Foundation.
