Dewaine Byerley
Dewaine E. Byerley, 78, St. Marys, died at 3:35 p.m. Feb. 16, 2013, at St. Marys Living Center.
He was born Feb. 7, 1935, in Celina, to William A. and Florence M. Cook Byerley. On Nov. 10, 1956, he married Shirley "Shirt" Klosterman, who died Sept. 7, 2008.
Surviving are a son, Michael (Barbara) Byerley of Middleburg, Fla.; a daughter, Beth (Steve) Reciniti of Oak Ridge, N.C.; two grandchildren, Greg Byerley of Middleburg, Fla., and Ashley Powers of Oak Ridge, N.C.; and a brother, William Baker of Celina.
He graduated in 1953 from Celina Senior High School. He was a retired truck driver for Duff Lines in Lima. He was a member of Eagles Lodge Aerie #767, St. Marys, and Moose Lodge #1473, Celina. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Private funeral rites will be held for the family. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.
A public memorial service will be scheduled and announced.
