ROCKFORD - Sixty-nine acres of land teeming with unusual bird species and rare plants along the St. Marys River is set to become an Ohio Nature Preserve this fall.

Chaplain to death row inmates speaks to local audience
COLDWATER - Nothing good comes from the death penalty, a priest who attended to death row inmates in Ohio, including a man who was put to death Wednesday morning, told a large crowd at the United Steelworkers Hall on Wednesday night.
After squaring off in a battle for first place in the Midwest Athletic Conference during the regular season in late January, conference co-champions St. Henry and St. John's will battle for a spot in the Kettering Regional on Friday night in the Division IV district final at the Elida Fieldhouse.
