Zane Miller
Zane Miller, 86, St. Marys, was found dead at his residence March 11, 2013.
He was born Sept. 15, 1926, in Mendon, to George and Ruth Baker Miller. He married Geraldine McMullen on Oct. 16, 1944, and she died Feb. 5, 1997.
He is survived by his two sons, Blaine Miller of Dayton and David (Evelyn) Miller of Saint Marys; 11 grandchildren, Michelle Mudge, Terri Miller, Dane Miller, Amy Reed-Early, Christa Miller, Angel Nuhfer, Nicole Jackson, Blain Michael Miller, Lacey Connor, Kelsey Miller and Greg Geiger; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, LaVere Revolt of St. Marys and Faye Jenkins of Saint Marys.
Also deceased are a daughter, Cindra Reed, and two brothers and four sisters.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during WWII. He retired from the City of St. Marys Power Plant, where he was a maintenance technician. He attended St. Marys Church of God. He loved gardening, woodworking, fishing and watching his favorite television shows.
Private family burial rites are 2 p.m. Friday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, Rev. Judy Baker officiant.
Burial rites, with full military honors, will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
