Nancy A. Vehorn, 79, New Bremen, died at 10:10 p.m. March 23, 2013, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Minster, where she had been a resident for three months.

She was born Nov. 18, 1933, to John and Nellie Burton Daly, who both are deceased. On June 25, 1955, she married Ralph "Bud" Vehorn in LaRue, and he died Jan. 7, 2009.

She is survived by children, Jane (Bo) Gast of St. Henry, Becky (Dan) Fullenkamp of Maria Stein, Mark Vehorn of Minster, Terri Klosterman of Durham, N.C., Gail (Steve) Harris of Centennial, Colo., and Chelle (David) Burd of Newark; brothers and sisters, Richard (Anne) Daly of Granville, Rosie Benson of Marion, Mike (Patti) Daly of Granite Bay, Calif., and James (Katie) Daly of Minnesota; a brother-in-law, Paul Buyer of Marysville; 18 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Deceased are siblings, Mary Buyer and Tom (Peggy) Daly; a brother-in-law, Ed Benson; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Holy Redeemer Church in New Bremen, Knights of St. John Auxillary and Mission Commission of the church. She had been a homemaker and was caretaker for the Dane Dicke family of New Bremen. She retired from Nutritional Care Service, owned by Teresa Bertke of St. Marys.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Tom Manabach presiding. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Maria Stein.

Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster.

Memorials may be given to State of the Heart Hospice or the Mission Commission at Holy Redeemer Church.
