Elsie Winner
Elsie J. Vonderheide Winner, 75, went home to be with the Lord on March 25, 2013.
She was born Oct. 4, 1937, in Fort Loramie to Albert and Rose Vonderheide. She married Donald A. Winner on June 24, 1961, and he is deceased.
Surviving are her children, Diane (Cliff) Cerbus, Deborah (Bob) Glass, David (Amy) Winner, Dan Winner and Dean (Crista) Winner; 10 grandchildren; and sisters, Kathryn and Norma.
Deceased are brothers, Leonard, Richard and Bert Vonderheide, and sisters Edna, Emma, Dorothy, Mary and Irene.
She retired after 27 years of service at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater. During retirement, she obtained a college degree in dietary management with the goal of benefiting the health of others through proper nutrition. Faith was the foundation of her life and was clearly evident to anyone she met. She was a bold witness and never shied away from sharing her faith.
Her Godly example enabled each of her children to accept Christ at an early age. She was deeply loved by many and will be greatly missed.
She battled cancer with grace and courage and is now experiencing a joyous reunion with family and friends in heaven.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Missionary Church, Celina.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina and 10-11 a.m. at the church.
Burial services will be held at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
Memorials may be made to WTLW TV-44 Christian Television Station in Lima.
