Robert Hensley
Robert M. "Bob" Hensley, 39, St. Marys, died April 10, 2013, after being shot by a Celina police officer.
He was born Sept. 10, 1973, in St. Marys, to Larry and Mary Puthoff Hensley, who survive in St. Marys.
He is also survived by his siblings, Aaron Hensley of St. Marys and Nicole (Shawn) Freeman of Celina; by his niece and nephew, Carissa and Collin Freeman; and by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Bob was a 1993 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He was employed at St. Marys K-Mart. He loved country music and for many years was the sound tech for Driftwood Band. He enjoyed dancing and was a fun loving guy who made a lot of people happy. He also enjoyed watching Oakland Raiders football, fishing and working on cars. He was an excellent cook. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys, Rev. Barry Stechschulte officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Calling is 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
Memorials may be given to Friends of Holy Rosary Church.
