Gerhard Kuhr
Gerhard S. Kuhr, 86, St. Marys, died at 3:50 a.m. April 18, 2013, at St. Marys Living Center.
He was born Sept. 25, 1926, in Brno, Czech Republic, the son of Frank and Josephine Schefczik Kuhr, who are deceased. He married Naida Sweet on  July 21, 1951, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 18, 2007.
He is survived by his four children, Irene Kuhr of St. Marys; Mark (Rosie) Kuhr of Celina; John Kuhr of Lima; and Ann (Mike) Brugger of Englewood; and two grandchildren, Charlotte and Michelle.
Also deceased are a daughter, Sharon Kuhr; a sister, Ilsa Schmiessing; and a brother, Leo Kuhr.
He attended high school in the Brno and emigrated to the United States after WWII. He retired from the Minster Machine Company, where he was an electrician. He was a member of the Buzzard Baiters Radio Controlled Flying Club in St. Marys and he enjoyed photography and working on his computer. He also loved riding his motorcycle.
Private family rites will be held.
