Scattered snow showers will continue through mid morning. With temperatures well below freezing, light snow accumulations will combine with lingering black ice from overnight, to create some slick spots on area roadways. In addition, brisk westerly winds will gust in the 25 to 35 mph range this morning.
If traveling this morning, allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses as well as untreated surfaces.

Workers from Hagerman Group, Fort Wayne, Ind., remove the calcium-stained split-faced block from the St. Marys middle and high school building. It will be replaced with brick. The district is seeking litigation against the construction company that built the school.
