An arctic cold front will move through the area this afternoon and evening, bringing snow showers and much colder air. While accumulations will generally be less than one half inch, quick bursts of snow will result in reductions in visibility and slick conditions at times. Some snow squalls are possible, which could lead to locally difficult travel conditions.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Daniel C. Martin pleaded guilty this morning in Mercer County Common Pleas Court to murdering his live-in girlfriend, Melinda "Mindi" Shinn, at the mobile home they shared in Rockford.
The 40-year-old Martin showed no emotion during the hastily scheduled change of plea hearing, shrugging his shoulders after quietly entering "guilty" to Judge Jeffrey Ingraham's request for a plea. [More]

CELINA - Diplomas will be given to 192 seniors at Celina High School during commencement ceremonies at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the football stadium.
Sarah Curtis, daughter of Diane and Steve Wilczinski and Dan and Lavonne Curtis, will be named valedictorian with a grade point average of 4.05.
