Michael Miller
Michael O. Miller, 65, St. Marys, died June 27, 2013, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born Sept. 9, 1947, in Celina, to J. Edward and Patricia Ann Otto Miller. He married Paulette Christopher on Oct. 21, 1972, and she survives at the residence.
He is also survived by his daughter, Lisa (fiance Terry McGue) Bowman of St. Marys; two grandchildren, Carter Bowman and Joselyn Bowman; and his siblings, Ed (Diana) Miller Jr. of Waynesville, Dianne (Robert) Koeper of St. Marys, Barbara (Dennis) Kohler of Wapakoneta, Doug (Jayne) Miller of Lima and Kay (Ray) Maher of Sebring, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Linda Miller.
He was a 1965 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He retired after 39 years of service at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, St. Marys. He served in the Ohio National Guard. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He loved teaching his grandson how to play golf and they spent many mornings together golfing at Northmoor Country Club. He was a very faithful attender of his grandchildren's sporting events and liked spending time with his friends. He enjoyed traveling to Florida and was everyone's handyman.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys, the Rev. Ned Brown celebrant. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys, where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be given to The Michael Miller Tree Fund to plant trees at Northmoor Country Club in his honor.
