Mary Eileen Overman
Mary Eileen Overman, 86, Coldwater, died July 5, 2013, at Coldwater Community Hospital.
She was born Nov. 22, 1926, in Russia, to Henry and Lena (Francis) Phlipot. On Oct. 2, 1948, she married Fredrick Overman in Frenchtown and he died March 28, 2001.
Survivors include four children, Kathy (Dan) Laux, Lima; Charles (Marla) Overman, Rockford; and Joe (Marlene) Overman and Jackie (Donald) Brunswick, all of Coldwater; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Francis (Janice) Phlipot, North Star and Eugene (Mary Lou) Phlipot, Minster; a sister, Pauline Siefring, Decatur, Ind.; and a sister-in-law, Mary Phlipot, New Bremen.
She was preceded in death by siblings and spouses, Joseph and Rosella Phlipot, Leo and Hilda Phlipot, Charles and Bessie Phlipot, Edwin Phlipot, Ernie and Jeanette Phlipot, Mildred and Christopher Gaier, Loretta Edwards and Eleanor and Henry Schlater; a brother-in-law, Harold Siefring; and a sister-in-law, Alma and Bill Stelzer.
She worked at the former New Idea Plant in Coldwater and as a housekeeper. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality of the church and the Coldwater VFW Auxiliary.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
