Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the Tri-State region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Mark Droesch
Mark "Duke" Droesch, 90, Maria Stein, died at 7 p.m. July 7, 2013, at his home.
He was born June 3, 1923, in Maria Stein, to Augustus and Catherine Vondrel Droesch.
He is survived by his special friend, Sue Meiring of Maria Stein; a sister, Ruth Mueller of Maria Stein; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brother and sisters, Robert Droesch, Dorothy Homan, Elenore Fortman and Hilda Schmitz.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Fort Recovery and Maria Stein American Legion posts. He worked at Matt Schwieterman Construction Inc. for more than 40 years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Maria Stein, the Rev. Gene Schnipke celebrant.
Calling is 10-10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, with full military honors.    
Memorials may be given to AMVETS.
