Kurt McMichael
Kurt Allen McMichael, 35, Mendon, passed away July 13, 2013, near Mendon.
He was born Jan. 13, 1978, in Van Wert to Galen and Karen Brown McMichael, who survive in Mendon.
Also surviving are his sister, Amy McMichael of Mendon; his maternal grandmother, Alice Eileen Brown of Mendon; aunts and uncles, Rudy and Carol McMichael of North Richland Hills, Texas, Sheryl and Jerry Ellis of Mendon and Jerry and Lynn Brown of Pueblo, Colo.; cousins, Nick Brown, Nicole Brown, Scott McMichael, Eric McMichael, Emily Barnett, Rachel Reichardt and Justin Ellis.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John A. Brown, paternal grandparents, Stanley and Minnie Ann McMichael; and an uncle, Craig McMichael.
He was employed as a materials handler at Eaton Corporation in Van Wert. He was a 1996 graduate of Parkway High School in Rockford, where he had played football. He enjoyed collecting and working on cars and motorcycles.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at W.H. Dick & Sons - Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon, the Rev. Donald Clinger officiating. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday
at the funeral home.
