Morgan Hamrick, 14, daughter of Carey and Jennifer Hamrick, Willshire, will sing "Jesus Take the Wheel" by Carrie Underwood, in the talent portion of the pageant.

She is a ninth grade student at Parkway High School, Rockford, and has chosen "4-H Awareness" as her platform.

Hamrick has participated in several school sports programs, including basketball, volleyball, track, softball, bowling and cross country. She also placed first in the Parkway Junior High Talent Show.
