Thomas Thwaits
Thomas W. Thwaits, 71, Fort Recovery, died Sept. 20, 2013, at Mount Carmel East Hospital, Columbus.
He was born Dec. 2, 1941, in Geneva, Ind., to John Heistand and Idabelle Thwaits. The father survives in Bryant, Ind.
Also surviving are a daughter, Melissa Osborn, and her fiance Michael Chiarella, both of Pataskala; two sons, Thomas "Scott" Thwaits, Tucson, Ariz., and Chris (Beverly) Thwaits, Fort Recovery; four grandchildren, Tom, Nicole, C.J. and Alexandra; three great-grandchildren, Courtney, Brooke and Alicia; and two stepgrandchildren, Ashalee and Anthony.
Deceased are a brother, Jack Heistand, and a sister, Nancy Bontrager.
He retired from R & R Poultry, St. Henry. A 1955 graduate of Fort Recovery High School, he served in the Army National Guard.
Calling is noon-2 p.m. Sunday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
No funeral services are planned, and burial will be at Wells Cemetery, Bryant, at a later date.
