Making way for parking lot
Photo by Margie Wuebker/The Daily Standard

A large trackhoe tears apart the former Bob Nagel house along South Main Street in New Bremen this week to make way for a parking lot for Crown Equipment Corp.'s employees. The former Lions Club shelter house, shown in the background, also will be razed. Crown plans to open the restored Boesel Opera House and a new office addition, both located near the razed home, in fall 2014.
