An excavator struck an abandoned service line within a water main on East Market Street in front of The Daily Standard on Monday during an ongoing infrastructure project. A sleeve was applied to the break. Shinn Bros. Inc. of Celina was recently awarded a $1.34 million contract for the project, which includes a new water main, improved storm drainage, replacement of curbs, drives and portions of sidewalks and pavement repair along Market Street.
