Wanda Fahncke
Wanda Neva Fahncke, 83, Rockford, passed away at 12:10 p.m. Nov. 19, 2013, at the Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
She was born Dec. 24, 1929, to Otto and Eda Kable Fahncke.
Survivors include her brothers and sister-in-law, Martin Fahncke, St. Marys, and Richard (Rosie) Fahncke, Wapakoneta; sisters and brothers-in-law, Anna (Herbert) Brandt, Rockford, Marcella Werner, Greenville, Pa., Celesta Howell, Columbia City, Ind., and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth and Gene Fahncke; an infant brother, Luther Fahncke; a sister-in-law, Helen Fahncke; a sister, Lauretta Brooks; and brother-in-law, Lisle Howell.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church Liberty Township, Rockford. She enjoyed attending Cheryl Ann programs, Celina, and was an active member of the St. John Lutheran Church Quilting Circle and Senior Citizens of Celina. She enjoyed playing bingo and creating needle crafts.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Liberty Township, the Rev. Sharon Stonerock officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, and one hour before services Saturday at the church.
