Mary Ann Caldwell
Mary Ann Caldwell, 81, St. Marys, died at 4:05 p.m. Dec. 18, 2013, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Jan. 23, 1932, in Mercer County, to Michael and Antoinette Feipel Minch. On Oct. 9, 1955, she married Robert Caldwell, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Bill Caldwell, St. Marys, Sharon Anderson, Wichita, Kansas, and Brenda (Bryan) Ridings, Wapakoneta; six grandchildren, Nikki Fannon Shaner, Belinda Coffey, Jessie (Mollie) Fannon, Tia Caldwell, Wade Caldwell and Geoff Anderson; four great-grandchildren, Larz (Kaila) Weber, LaFern Shaner, Malachi Shaner and Skylar Shaner; one great-great-grandchild, Larz Weber Jr.; four sisters-in-law, Marvel Thomas, St. Marys, Patricia Minch, Florence, Ala., Emily Minch, Celina, and Wahneta Minch, Celina; a brother-in-law, Walter (Shirley) Caldwell, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Clara Minch and Helen Steele; five brothers, Harold Minch, Walter Minch, Rudolph Minch, Clarence "Jack" Minch and Lewis Minch; and a daughter, Debra Fannon.
She was a Coldwater High School graduate and was a military wife for many years. She was retired from Huffy Manufacturing and later worked at the St. Marys Living Center. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, traveling and fishing. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member and past president of VFW Post 9289 Auxiliary.
Funeral rites are 11 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home West Chapel, St. Marys, the Rev. Ed Bray, officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Auglaize County Humane Society or VFW Post 9289 Auxiliary.
