Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s to lower 90s today. This will combine with a humid airmass to produce heat indicies in the 95 to 100 degree range this afternoon. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening.

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued an Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio, through midnight EDT tonight. Smoke from Canadian wildfires will adversely impact air quality. The Agency expects the Air Quality Index to be in the 'unhealthy for sensitive groups' range. Vivian Elshoff
Vivian Elshoff, 96, Lake City, Fla., and formerly of New Knoxville, died Dec. 24, 2013, at 6:15 a.m. at Haven Hospice at the Swaney Valley Care Center in Lake City, Fla.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, the Rev. Dr. David Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Pilger Ruhe, Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Calling is noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Haven Hospice c/o Swaney Valley Care Center, Lake City.
