Dolores Jerome
Dolores Rice Jerome, 94, died at 2:35 p.m. March 7, 2014, at her home in Kettering.
She was born Jan. 5, 1920, in Mendon, to Harriet Goodwin and Otley Rice. On Aug. 2, 1941, she married Byron Max Jerome, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Jeff Jerome, Northampton, Mass.; a daughter, Joyce (Terry) Gressner, Kettering; two grandchildren, Keith A. Gressner and Cindi (Tim) McGlone; and a great-granddaughter, Shenna McGlone.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Willis Rice and Marvin Rice; and two sisters, Martha Harden and Helen Taylor.
She retired as a procurement agent after 36 years with the Defense Electronics Supply Center. She was an active member of the League of Women Voters, the Business and Professional Women's Club and the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association. She graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from Wright Sate University, Dayton, in 1987.  
Calling is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. today at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert. Interment will follow at Goodwin Cemetery in York Township, Van Wert County.
