Marie Schilling
Marie E. Schilling, 93, Coldwater, passed away peacefully March 26, 2014, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born July 8, 1920, in Coldwater, to John and Clara Kessen Osterfeld. On June 9, 1945, she married Eugene J. Schilling, who died Nov. 8, 2007.
Surviving are four children, Jerry (Beth) Schilling, New Harmony, Ind., Mike (Dawn) Schilling, Celina, Julia (Mark) King, Rockford, and Nancy (Joe) Hartings, Celina; a daughter-in-law, Shawndie (Jim) Stokich, Albion, Ill.; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul Osterfeld, Coldwater; and three sisters-in-law, Helen Doll and Irene Schilling, both of Coldwater, and Dolly Schilling, Saginaw, Mich.
Deceased are a son, Ronnie Schilling; a grandchild, Sarah Schilling; two brothers, Tom (Alma) Osterfeld and Bobby Osterfeld; and in-laws, Roseann Osterfeld, Vincent (Marion) Schilling, Ralph Schilling, Edna (Al) Janowicz, Ruth (Andy) Busch, Esther (Jack) Jones and Tony Doll.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, the St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality and the Coldwater VFW Auxiliary. She retired from Reynolds & Reynolds in Celina.
Mass of Christian Burial was 10:30 a.m. today at the church with burial in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
