Light snow will overspread the area from the northwest this morning. An increased coverage of snow showers is expected to develop this afternoon into the evening hours. Slick spots may develop on roads tonight as temperatures drop and northwest winds gust up to 30 mph. Coverage of snow showers is expected to decrease overnight before ending Monday morning. Most the area will see an accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Locally higher amounts are possible in areas where heavier snow bands develop this afternoon into early evening.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Gilbert Ice
Gilbert F. "Bud" Ice, 96, Spencerville, died unexpectedly at 8:05 p.m. April 11, 2014, in the emergency department of St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Aug. 15, 1917, in St. Marys, to Gilbert and Florence Croft Ice. On Aug. 15, 1966, he married Jeanette Roberts, who died June 11, 1993.
He is survived by his dearest, loyal friend, Frankie Sunderland, Spencerville, and her five children, Anna (Wallace) Vaughn of Indianapolis, Ind., Martin (Dona) Sunderland, Lima, Mike (Vicki) Sunderland, Wapakoneta, Glen (Diana) Sunderland, Lima, and Becky (Joe) Lammers, Spencerville; her 14 grandchildren; her seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Izetta Fulton, St. Marys; stepgrandchildren, Jessica (Eric) Kramer, Staci (Bob) Bond, Jeremy (Tami) Rable, Brad (Kim) Rable; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and a stepdaughter, Connie (Dwight) Strasburg, Celina.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Denzil Ice, Roselda Ice, Clarabelle Zwiebel, Betty Finke, Virginia Heintz and Donald Ice.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served three years during World War II, mainly in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre. He retired from West Ohio Gas Company after 33 years of service and also retired from Schaff Auto Sales in St. Marys. He was a life member of American Legion Post 323; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289 and Eagles Lodges 767 and 691.
Private burial rites will be held.
Miller Funeral Homes, St. Marys, has charge of arrangements.
