Janice Raffel
Janice Raffel, 91, Russia, died at 9:59 a.m. May 20, 2014, at her home.
She was born April 20, 1923, in the Dayton area. On Dec. 31, 1942, she married Joseph M. Raffel, who died in 1986.
She is survived by grandchildren, Brad (Angie) Heaton, Russia, and Mike Heaton, Houston, and great-grandchildren, Shelby Bey, Cody, Sierra, Luke and Lauren Heaton.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Boroff, in 2001.
She was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia, and an avid visitor to The Gathering Place in Russia.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Remy Catholic Church, the Rev. Frank Amberger celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Remy Cemetery.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Russia.
