Judith Ann Seger
Judith Ann (Simon) Seger, 72, Yorkshire, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton.
She was born Nov. 29, 1941, in Versailles to Fred "Pete" and Mildred (McEldowney) Simon. On Aug. 11, 1962, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, she married John Leo Seger, who preceded her in death March 14, 2013.
She is survived by five children, Susan (John) Merryman, McIntyre, Pa., Joseph (Linda) Seger, Rossburg, Leo (Tina) Seger, New Weston, Janice Seger, Osgood, and Sharon (Michael) Hoelscher, Versailles; 10 grandchildren, RaeAnne, Jeremiah, Rachel and Susan Merryman, Mitchell Arling, Seth, Korie and Alaina Seger, Vivian and Jacobi Seger and Macey, Austin and Adam Hoelscher; two siblings, Lurene and Jerry Monnin, Versailles, and Dan and Sheryl Simon, Versailles; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Ann Simon, Versailles, Hilda Siegel, Fort Loramie, and Pauline (Urban) Drees, Yorkshire.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bernard "Bud" and Richard "Dick" Simon; brother-in-law, Norbert Siegel; and a sister-in-law, Rita Drees.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and retired from Greenville Technologies, Inc., in 2006. Over the years, she was a cook, homemaker and farm wife. She was the family organizer and especially loved playing cards with family, friends and the "Goat Farmers" wives.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Nicholas Church with the Rev. David L. Zink presiding. Interment will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Gehret Funeral Home, Fort Loramie.
