Esther McElfresh

Esther M. McElfresh, 84, Germantown, passed away June 22, 2014, at Hospice of Dayton.

She was born in Celina to Hiram and Lillian Miesse. She was married to Perry Robert McElfresh, who is deceased.

Surviving are four children, Larry (Becky) McElfresh, Fremont, Dwight (Rita) McElfresh, Ashland, Diana (Jan) Watson, Miamisburg, and Karen (Ken) Bass, Columbus; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Germantown United Methodist Church. She retired from Valley View High School and Elder-Beerman, and was a former Red Hatter.

Funeral services are 8 p.m. Wednesday at Arpp & Root Funeral Home, Germantown, the Rev. Gary Wheeler officiating.

Calling is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Dayton or Germantown Fire/EMS.
