Michael Rosengarten Sr.
Michael W. Rosengarten Sr., 60, of Toledo, died July 7, 2014.
He was born Aug. 13, 1953, in Celina, to Lavern "Whitey" and Mary Dysert Rosengarten.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Victoria Rosengarten; sons, Robert (Carrie) Rosengarten, Stephen (Jen) Rosengarten and Michael Jr. (Amanda) Rosengarten; sisters, Peg (Jack) Bruggeman, Kim (Tom) Marts and Holly (Robert) Roesch; brother, John (Carol) Rosengarten; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Two brothers, Steven and Eddie Rosengarten, are deceased.
He dedicated his life to a love of horses, having started training and driving race horses at the age of 16. For 35 years, he worked as a driver-trainer at Raceway Park. He was an active member of OHHA and USTA and an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He enjoyed gambling, especially playing cards and betting on horses. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, his greatest pleasure was spending time with family.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Friday at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, Toledo.
